I've just got to show off some of the deliciousness I'm making and eating!
Some pre-dinner tapas:
Jamón is a staple in the Spanish diet. When parents come to pick up their children from school they always bring a snack which is often a mini baguette sandwich with slices of jamón inside! It's so so good!
Chorizo con patatas y ensalada:
When people eat tapas together it normally looks like this. The food is served on one plate and everyone shares.
And here the salad dressing is simple: white or red wine vinegar and olive oil y ya esta! Nothing more except maybe a sprinkle of salt. And you can actually taste the salad! I prefer it to all endless varieties of flavored, fatty dressings back home. When you douse a salad in those dressings you are basically just using the salad as a vehicle for the fatty fat dressings. And that's the end of my dressing rant.
